Let's Talk About Philip

Last night at the North Wall, we presented Helen Wood's riveting play, Let's Talk About Philip. Interspersed with moments of humour, this tender play explored Helen's journey to uncover the truth of her brother's suicide. The main theme centred around how painful silence is, and how long it can last, and that with conversation can come healing.
Following the play, Helen was joined by Festival Director, Liz Rothschild, and two panellists, Darius Victoryforu Smith and Karen Lascelles, for a short discussion and Q&A. Both Darius and Karen were able to offer information about resources available for suicide prevention.
Feedback from audience members included:

I had not realised how much support was out there.

I did not know how many suicides there are.

I managed to talk about a loss with a friend as a result of seeing the show.
