Westmill Woodland
Burial Ground

Westmill Woodland Burial Ground was set up in 2000 by Liz Rothschild and Adam Twine on Westmill farm on the Oxfordshire/Wiltshire border. It is a Community Interest Company meaning it is a not for profit enterprise with a remit to serve its local community with fairly priced funerals and by demystifying the processes around death, dying bereavement. The vision is to establish a site which when full will become a small nature reserve. At Westmill people can find the support to create the funeral that is right for them, have as much time up there as they want, become part of the community of the bereaved associated with the place and allow nature to help them heal their grief.

The Restitution Fund

The Restitution Fund is a small trust set up by a beneficiary of Jewish Restitution money (compensation for losses due to the actions of the National Socialist Party in Germany). Feeling it was not right to be the sole person to benefit, and conscious that those without material assets received no compensation for their suffering in the Shoah, they set it up to serve others who need support in the work they are doing to restore equality, humanity and connection in our society. Grants are given out twice a year in February and September of up to £2000.   For more information on the criteria and requirements please  contact us via the festival website and we can send you more information.
