Pet Bereavement

Pets are very often people’s companions. The death of a loved pet may be a profound loss, often overlooked, and experienced in a myriad of different ways. Blue Cross is a charity set up to help people and pets, and we are delighted that Diane James, Head of Pet Bereavement Support Services, will be joining us to talk about Blue Cross's work in more depth at one of our online events on Friday 3 November. Pet bereavement is just one aspect of the charity, which also supports pet re-homing and pet food banks. If you are experiencing the loss of a pet and would like someone to talk to, you can find contact details for Blue Cross here https://www.bluecross.org.uk/pet-bereavement-and-pet-loss

Mary Anderson on Pinterest has this idea. She says, “When we lose a pet take their water bowl and attach their collar and make a treasured plant grow in the bowl......Great remembrance...much love !”
