Preparations Underway

Preparations for Kicking the Bucket Festival 2023 are well underway. The team is working busily behind the scenes, booking contributors, collating information, updating our website, organising food and refreshments and generally feeling excited about our 4th festival!
We started planning back in October, and now as Spring is fully upon us, we too are emerging from the dark. The festival features a hub weekend from Friday 3 November to Sunday 5 November. The daytime Friday sessions will take place online, which we hope will enable many people who can’t travel to Oxford to enjoy some of our festival events. On Friday evening the festival will travel to Wolvercote Village Hall for a fun-filled yet reflective Day of the Dead Ceilidh, with live music from Kismet. On Saturday our in-person events take place at The Friends’ Meeting House, St Giles, Oxford.
We’re still in the planning stages, but rest assured that events will be popping up all over the city and beyond in the lead up to the festival! At the moment, our first one is at Westmill Burial Ground on Saturday 7 October, followed closely by a Death Café running at the Old Fire Station on Wednesday 11 October. Although our website is currently being remodelled, you can still see what we’ve planned so far by visiting us here - https://kickingthebucket.co.uk/diary/

Leave us a message in the Comments if you’d like to be on the mailing list! We look forward to seeing you in October/November.
