Making Space for Grief

We all carry grief of various kinds, whether from recent or  long-ago losses. This is an opportunity to come together to  acknowledge our grief. Through breath and awareness practices, song, movement and ritual, we can increase our capacity to express and live alongside strong feelings, so that they don’t overwhelm us or lead to chronic  states like depression. Join us to experience some ways to  make space for your own feelings and those of others, as and  when they arise. We hope you will leave with a lighter heart and some tools for deeper emotional literacy to take forward for yourself and your community.

Lucie Mayer

My first training was in nursing in the early 90's. I have worked both in the NHS and charity settings, mostly with people with  life limiting conditions. I have had the privilege to be alongside  and support many people as they meet the end of their days. I  have also been a youth worker, forest school leader, am a  woodland guardian and have been very involved with the  development of Oxford City Farm. My most recent training  has been in Yoga teaching and Yoga Therapy. I have additional training in yoga nidra, chair yoga and yoga for menopause. I  teach group classes and offer 1 to 1 yoga therapy. Through yoga therapy I love to support people to come back to the  wisdom of the body. I am fascinated by transitions and inspired  by nature, and as an extension of this our capacity as  human beings to move towards healing. I am so pleased to be  working alongside the wonderful with Jackie Singer to run this Making Space for Grief workshop in our local community.
