Moving - The Story of a Home

Caroline says, “This film captures a moment in time. Roslynn was our family home; my parents lived here for almost 45 years. Our Mum died in Nov 2020 and our Dad died in September 2021. Once the house was empty I found myself dancing in the space, processing in the best way I could what had been a difficult few years. Memories come and go, each room had its own particular flavour. I spent a day dancing whilst Sarah filmed. Two days later I handed in the keys for the next owner. Moving memories, shifting emotions, sensing this moment.”

The film will be shown on and off throughout the day.  There will be three showings where the audience will have the opportunity to be in conversation with Caroline afternwards. These will be limited to 6 audience members, so please book your place below for one of these showings.

Caroline Scott

Caroline Scott I’m a dancer and Feldenkrais Practitioner based in Mytholmroyd near Hebden Bridge.  I teach people to move with greater ease and pleasure.  I have a daily movement/dancing practice and my film came out of this practice and processing the death of both of my parents whilst clearing their house before it was handed on to the next owners.

Sarah Mason

I'm Sarah, and together with my wife Suzi, I make films and take photographs for brands and families that explore this feeling of belonging, and of home.
